Tiger won the Masters – 2019

Tiger won the Masters for his fifteenth overall major championships, his first in 11 years. Months later, he had knee surgery and by the time it was healed, he announced in October 2019, that he would be playing his first 2020 PGA Tour event at the Zozo Championship in Japan.

Tied second at the Valspar – 2018

He completed one-shot back and tied second at the Valspar title in Florida which was his first Top 5 finish at the PGA tournament. Also, he took the lead in the last round of the British Open and finished in a tie for 6th. He also won the Tour Championship for his 80th career triumph in the PGA tournament, leaving him two short of the record.

First PGA Tour – 2017

In 2017, he made his first PGA Tour and missed the cut at Torrey Pines. In October, he pleaded guilty to reckless driving and consented to attend a diversion program. In December, he came back to the tournament at the Hero World Challenge, posted three rounds during the 60s and tied for ninth against an 18-man field, 10 shots behind.

Hero World Challenge Golf Tournament – 2016

In 2016, he missed several competitions while recovering from back surgery. After 15 months of being off the golf tours, he eventually made a comeback in the Hero World Challenge golf tournament.

Phoenix Open & Masters – 2015

He was thought to be a beginner with his short game at the Phoenix Open and pulled back after 11 holes at the Torrey Pines. In April, he returned to the Masters and tied for 17th. In the Memorial, he shot an 85 in his third round which was his highest score as an expert.

Back Surgery – 2014

He missed the Augusta National for the first time due to back surgery. He also missed the cut in the PGA Tournament and had a break for the rest of the year (missing the Ryder Cup), to get healthy.

Farmers Insurance Open, PGA title, and WGC-Cadillac Championship – 2013

In 2013, Woods’ commanding play returned when he won the Farmers Insurance Open for his 75th PGA title and WGC-Cadillac Championship that gave him his 17th WGC award for the seventh time. Days after, he won the Arnold Palmer Invitational and finished in a tie for 8th which has put him back near the top in the world rankings.

Arnold Palmer, and PGA Tour Memorial Competition – 2012

He started with two competitions where he began well yet battled in the last round. He won the Arnold Palmer Invitational, his first win on the PGA Visit since 2009. He also scored his 73rd PGA Tour win at the Memorial Competition, tying with Jack Nicklaus as runner up for most PGA Visit victories, and beat him after at the AT&T National.

Masters, Emirates Australian, and Chevron World Challenge Open – 2011

Wood’s exhibition was not happy, yet he bounced back to No.5 after falling to No.7 with a solid performance at the 2011 Masters, where he tied in 4th. In mid-November, he won third place at the Emirates Australian Open and rose to the 50th in the ranking. He also broke his bad record with a triumph at December’s Chevron World Challenge.

Masters – 2010

He came back to the 2010 Masters where he finished tied in fourth place just a few months after he broadcast a conciliatory sentiment for his wrongful conduct. He followed the Masters with less than impressive displays which made the remainder of the season embarrassing –  while completing the season positioned as No. 2 across the globe.

Presidents Cup – 2009

He had an eagerly awaited come back to golf in 2009 when he did quite well. His rebound incorporated an astounding performance at the 2009 Presidents Cup, yet he failed to win a major. 

US Open and PGA Tour – 2008

He kept excelling in the first part of 2008 when, on his return for the 2008 US Open, he claimed to be the sixth person to win it thrice or more. Also, he was made the only golfer to win two tournaments in the same season and the first to win the PGA Tour seven times in the same events.

U.S. Open, PGA Championship, and PGA – 2007

Woods won runner-up in the U.S. Open. Also, he became the only player who had consecutive wins of the PGA Championship in two different events. He was awarded the PGA Player of the Year, PGA Tour Player of the Year, Golf Writers Association of America Player of the Year, and more.

PGA competitions, Masters – 2006

In 2006, he started by winning his first two PGA competitions, but he failed to catch his fifth Masters title in April. Moreover, after his father’s death, he immediately came back and finished the year by winning 6 successive tours. At the close of the season, he had 54 successes including 12 majors.

Won Six PGA Tour Visits, Won an Open Championship – 2005

In 2005, he bounced back and won six PGA Tour visits and recovered the top position in July in the wake of trading it to and fro with Singh over the main half portion of the year. Also, he won an Open Championship wherein he was named as the second golfer to have won four consecutive major championships more than once.

A Bad Year – 2003-2004

He did not win any competitions during these years.

Mercedes Championships at the Kapalua Resort in Hawaii – 2002

In 2002, he hit a 498-yard drive on the standard-5 18th in the Mercedes Championships at the Kapalua Resort in Hawaii. The shot was considered to be the longest drive throughout the entire existence of the PGA Tournaments – according to Shotlink.

Youngest Golfer Ever To Accomplish The Career Grand Slam – 2001

He became the youngest golf player ever to accomplish the Career Grand Slam. In addition, he won the 2001 Masters and was the only player to win four back-to-back titles in major golf events simultaneously. Moreover, he also completed an achievement called the “Tiger Slam.”

“The Greatest Performance in Golf History” – 2000

He won during the U.S Open at Pebble Beach by 15 shots, making it the biggest edge in his major title history which was labeled “The Greatest Performance in Golf History”. ”Also, he won six tournaments on the PGA Tour, which was considered to be the longest winning streak since 1948.

Completed The Season with Eight Successes – 1999

He completed the season with eight successes in 1999, including the PGA title, an accomplishment not seen since John Miller in 1974. Furthermore, he may have experienced severe myopia and went on to have surgery, yet he still managed to win these tour events.

Swing Change – 1998

In 1998, he had his dull moments and had a swing change. He was qualified to play during the third round at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am but decided not to continue due to the bad weather – yet it was his best decision before his comeback.

Youngest Champion – 1997

Once again, he became the first African American and the youngest champion in his first major tournament, the U.S Masters. Months later, he set the record as No.1 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Winning Thrice In A Row – 1996

In 1996, at the age of 20 and an amateur,  he made an extraordinary competitive career achievement by winning thrice in a row in the US. He promoted deals with Nike, Inc. – the most rewarding endorsement contract in golf history. Further, he was named Sportsman of the Year and PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.
