Read on…
…to find out all about how much Gucci Mane lives up to his moniker.
Gucci Mane Early Life
Born on the 12th of February 1980, forty-year-old American hip hop singer Radric Delantic Davis would go on to become a household name in the music industry.
Carrying with him the moniker “Gucci Mane,” he had started what is now known as “trap music.”
Unlike any other one-hit wonders and defying stereotypes, Radric Delantic has been writing his music ever since he was a young kid. In fact, he began to experiment with rap music at the tender age of 14.
Radric Davis, aka Gucci Mane, was an Alabaman by birth who was raised in Bessemer. His parents were separated when he was a little boy.
Since then, he was raised alone by his mother. At the age of 9, he moved to Atlanta with his mother
His album, LaFlare, was recorded under the label Str8 Drop Records in 2001. He was 22 years old then. That album would go on to release over 1000 CDs.
A year after that (2002), Radric Delantic Davis signed a deal with SYS Records as an associate member of ‘Sign Yourself Click.’ He then established his recording label that he named LaFlare Entertainment. He teamed up with Zaytoven, a DJ and record producer by profession.
After a while, he decided to base himself in New York to try to get a distribution contract. However, he was unsuccessful so he returned home.
Gucci Mane continued working in secrecy on his music and then signed a deal for an album distribution contract with Tommy Boy Records.
On the side, he was readying his then to-be-launched album ‘Trap House’.
Just like much of the people in the entertainment industry, Gucci Mane has had his fair share of highs and lows. A number of his lows include him being behind bars on occasions.
His very first issue was in 2001 when he was charged with possessing cocaine.
There’s more…
…in 2005, Gucci Mane fired at a group of people while hanging out with his friends. That altercation resulted in the death of one person. Gucci was charged with murder until he finally surrendered himself to the police. After just a year (2006), he was released due to lack of evidence.
Ever since then, it was the State vs. Radric Davis.
This was what Radic Delantic Davis had to deal with while he was at the peak of his fame.

Business Ventures, Endorsements & Products
Being the celebrity Radric Delantic Davis is, it goes without saying that he has a number of endorsements, products, and business ventures on the go, here are the deets…
Gucci Mane Business Ventures
Just like any other artist, the net worth of this American rapper has risen mainly because of his hip hop music – downloads, ticket sales, and record sales.
Of course, you wouldn’t be a successful part of the entertainment industry if you didn’t have sold-out hip hop performances and merchandise.
Gucci, as expensive as his name sounds, is also as rich as his name suggests.
And he owes that to his several business ventures.
He explored the acting world and had his debut in the film industry in 2007. He has appeared in many films since as “Gucci Mane” himself.
In 2013, he did more than just a simple cameo in the film ‘Spring Breakers’ when he played Archie “Big Arch.”
Gucci has since branched out with the clothing line he called…wait for it…Delantic Clothing.
The line was launched in 2016 with a wide range of apparel – t-shirts, hoodies, and underwear.
He used his influence on social media to tease his fans into buying his products. And who says social media doesn’t work, right?
Apart from selling records, merchandise, and apparel, he breaks stereotypes by indulging in writing.
My fave…
In fact, he published ‘The Autobiography of Gucci Mane’ in September of 2017 which he wrote in collaboration with Neil Martinez Belkin who was a former XXL Magazine editor.
Gucci Mane Movies
Some of Gucci Mane’s endorsements were with Delantic, Footaction, Reebok, and Supreme.
Gucci Mane The Entrepreneur
Mane has had a series of studio albums that helped lift him to fame.
Meanwhile, his wife, Keshia Ka’oir Davis, is a beauty mogul who recently invested in her cosmetic line – Ka’oir Cosmetics.
A pretty successful partnership I’d say…
Gucci Mane Controversies & Litigation
It is no secret to everyone that Gucci Mane, while famous, is also infamous in the literal sense of the word.
Gucci Mane vs. Young Jeezy
His first controversy began in 2005 when he debuted his independent album Trap House. In it was the song entitled “Icy” which he created with Young Jeezy. All was going well until there were disputes between them over the rights to the single.
Trap House alone was a success for an independent artist. However, the controversy that came along with it was just the beginning.
Gucci Mane Firearms Charge
On September 30, 2013, Gucci Mane served 183 days in jail for possessing firearms as a convicted felon, carrying a concealed weapon, possessing marijuana, and disorderly conduct.
How Gucci Mane Spends His Money
The “Trap House” singer has had a great impact on a lot of people. Though he’s had his share of lows throughout his career, he made up for it equally by both spending lavishly and by giving back to the community.
I mean, who’d complain?
At least he’s helping.
Gucci Mane’s House
Rappers have a reputation of spending a little bit “too much,” and Gucci Mane is no exception. He’s spent millions of dollars to buy himself luxurious houses which include this 9-million-dollar mansion in Marietta.
Just like any other mansion, as you would have guessed, it has master bedrooms (yes, bedrooms), a cozy swimming pool, and state-of-the-art security features.
He is a rapper, alright!
Gucci Mane Cars
As sure as Gucci is swimming in his stack of money, he’ll always be on the bandwagon of celebs that collect luxury cars.
He has a Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce that is worth a staggering $550,000.
Get that?
Over half a million bucks!
Of course, car collections wouldn’t be complete without a Ferrari…and he has two of them – a yellow Ferrari 458 Italia and Black Ferrari 612 – costing $240,000 and $148,512, respectively.
His other luxury cars include a white Maybach worth $516,000, a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo worth $200,000, a red Dodge Charger SRT8 worth $67,000, a red Bentley Mulsanne worth $300,000, a black Dodge Challenger worth $28,000, and a matching Rolls Royce with his wife worth over $350,000 each.
With a stash of money as thick as that, his taxes are also a little on the hefty side. His tax bills maxed out at $823,000 from 2008 until 2018.
With a net worth that size and earnings of more than my parents’ mortgage, who knows how much tax he pays now…
