Ava met her boyfriend at Coachella in 2017. Ava Dash – together with her friends – was at the artist section enjoying the party and watching Travis Scott when Alex and his friends hopped on the fence to socialize with Ava’s circle. 

Ava and Alex met through common friends and then “hit it off” according to Ava Dash on her first vlog on her youtube channel. 

Alex Millet was born in Westlake, California. He went to Westlake High School. He was a golf player and had various successes from competitions he  had taken part in since he was in high school.

Rachel Roy

Ava Dash is the daughter of a fashion designer mum Rachel. 

Rachel was born on the 15th of January, 1974 in California and was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church. 

Her mother is of a dutch descent while her father is a Bengali Indian born in Madras. 

She finished her high school education in Seaside High School in California and went to Columbia Union College. 

After graduating… 

…Roy moved to New York and worked as a wardrobe stylist and interned at Rocawear. 

She climbed her way to the Women’s and Children’s Division where she met her ex-husband. 

She currently has a clothing line at Macy’s in the United States and The Bay in Canada.

As if that’s not enough…

Rachel also wrote a book, together with her daughter Ava, called 96 Words of Love. She’s doing charity work for various organizations where she contributes to womens empowerment with projects to financially benefit women and children. 

Damon Dash

Ava Dash is Damon Dash’s daughter. Damon was born on May 3rd, 1971 in New York. 

In his early years, he worked in a local barbershop and sold newspapers. 

He is an entrepreneur, film producer, actor, director, a record executive, and hip hop icon. 

He is also a co-founder of Roc-A-Fella along with Kareem Burke and Jay-Z. 

And there’s more.

Not only that, but Damon was also Jay-Z’s manager – he organized a tour for Jay-Z which earned circa 17 Million US Dollars. 

Their relationship ended when Def Jam Recordings, which only owned half of the company, bought the entire Roc-A-Fella company and made Jay-Z the president.

Jay-Z bought Damon’s stake of the company, Rocawear, in late 2005. 

Damon Dash’s daughters are Ava Dash and Tallulah Dash. 

Damon Dash and his daughter Ava Dash are currently not in a good relationship due to a couple of ongoing issues. 

Their hostile relationship was even caught on an episode of Growing Up Hip Hop, a WeTV Reality Series.

Tallulah Dash

Tallulah Dash is Damon Dash and Rachel Roy’s second daughter which makes her the younger sister of Ava Dash. 

Tallulah was born on the 14th of May 2008. 

Unlike her sister Ava, Tallulah has light-colored hair and eyes which makes the two sisters look very different. 

Damon Dash daughters have a close relationship – you can see this on Ava’s two vlogs in her youtube channel. 

Tallulah started modeling when she was eight. 

She also said that having a hip hop dad was kind of funny and weird because her father raps about almost everything.

Past Relationships

In case you might be wondering…

Damon Dash and Rachel Roy met when Roy was still an intern at Rocawear. 

They had their daughter Ava 5 years before their marriage.

It was in 2005 when they decided to tie the knot. 

Three years later, they had their youngest daughter – Tallulah Dash.

Sadly, they were divorced a year after having Tallulah and a legal battle ensued for custody of their children and child support payments.  

Rachel Roy won the custody battle for their children in 2015.
