Michael Dean Murdock is the only son among four daughters born to J.E. and Willie Murdock.
This God-driven preacher was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on the 18th of April, 1946.

That’s where the “Dr.” is from.
He then established the Mike Murdock Evangelistic Association in 1973 and is beginning to be known as the Inspiration Camp Meetings’ most sought-after preacher.
He started garnering the public’s attention the moment this charismatic personality started hosting TV programs.

Dr. Mike Ministries, Books & Albums
Cash is King – you’d think it’s Jesus – but this holds exceptionally true for the unusually wealthy preacher.
Now, imagine…
… you walk into a huge ballroom filled with several hundred parishioners and die-hard fans. On the centerstage lies an oversized throne surrounded by four majestic columns.
Sitting like a king is a man with his hair dyed black wearing a large gold-plated necklace…
Get the picture?
In a deep baritone voice, he delivers his self-made theology for love of “prosperity,” AKA cold hard cash via his ministries.
He’s Dr. Murdock, the once-innocent boy from Lake Charles, Louisiana.
After the sermon, the modern-day prophet asks for a little heartfelt support – any amount you donate would do…
However, I’ve heard a monthly request of $58 is the minimum for a blessing.
Hmmm. Seems fishy, don’t you think?
If you give him some of your moolah, he’ll multiply it purely through a miracle.
“Sow a seed…I’d like everybody to be a partner for a dollar a day,” he says.
But Dr. Mike Murdock claims in his defense, “The church doesn’t even pay me a penny in salary.”
Hold up!
Would you even be entitled to a salary, Mr. Preacher?
Aside from handling the proceeds of a “nonprofit” religious organization (which we all know is tax-free), Murdock also owns a publishing business under the church’s name.
He claims to have published more than 600 books, written thousands of songs, and preached in circa 30,000 services worldwide.
Multiple religious TV Stations broadcast this man in pretty much every state.
He also has a strong social media following on Facebook, Periscope, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter.

Is Mike Murdock A Scam? Controversies & Litigation
Murdock vs. Fort Worth Star-Telegram (2003)
Darren Barbee, a Star-Telegram religious writer, spent six months investigating the Mike Murdock Evangelistic Association.
This case dates back to 1999, the moment he oddly refused interviews with Fort Worth Star-Telegram on questions regarding his involvement in fraud and finance cases.
But if you have nothing to hide, Mike… why?
Throughout his career, the preacher hasn’t been terribly clear about whether assets belong to him or the ministry.
Jeez!
His highly unusual and dubious transactions (to name a few) use the ministry’s money for personal gain, requesting “gifts” under the organization’s name, sharing employees, and crediting all the abnormalities to his books and songs.
“God gave me an idea that bought me a jet [with] cash,” says Mike Murdock boastfully regarding his most outrageous purchase yet!
Wowzer! A jet…
Did he buy the jet and then donate it to the ministry?
Did he sell it to the church?
We’re left wondering.
It doesn’t clearly say.
This is just one of the few questionable situations that put him on the spot over the years.
According to Darren Barbee, “Over the years, the ministry has solicited personal gifts for Murdock even as he has told donors – on tapes and during broadcasts – that the ministry sorely needed money.”
Fort Worth Star-Telegram also found the ministry uses donor funds to aid Mike’s father and son financially.
Murdock also oversees transactions between the non-profit ministry and his for-profit companies.
This situation is a big no-no.
Is it possible to separate Mike Murdock, the man, from Mike Murdock, the minister?
Some say ‘no.’
The ministry’s accountant, unfortunately, believes it’s possible…
They believe he did nothing illegal, and even his former employees attest to him being strict on keeping the ministry’s expenses separate from his own.
Various Lawyers have questioned the legality of the ministry’s practices, especially concerning its solicitation of “gifts” for Murdock.
An anonymous expert explicitly said:
“If they’re simply turning money over to him, I think the IRS would have a real problem with that, whether the gifts are termed ‘love offerings,’ ‘blessings’ or ‘birthday gifts,’ they are simply income.”
It’s bizarre… and that’s just pure swindling!
To obstruct investigations from the IRS, Mike and his team made some smart moves.
To answer the question as to where most of his wealth is coming from, Murdock credits the television program “Wisdom Keys with Mike Murdock” for his huge wealth – also several budding sources like royalties from his books and songs.
He also included having been blessed by God with different business deals under his 3 personal for-profit companies: Win-Song Productions, Wisdom International, and Win-Com Media.
While they are actually listed this time, the details are vague and still unusual.
These companies share the ministry’s address and officials – and even advertising promotions are created through the ministry.
The ministry also sells books and albums on its website, seminars, and sessions.
This outrageousness stands even today…
Sadly, legal codes that have a bearing on nonprofit organizations can be obscured.
Also, financial statements can be manipulated easily to bend the rules without actually breaking them – this is basically how it went down.
And just as quickly, Mike Murdock dismisses these allegations claiming they are designed as a distraction – by none other than the Devil himself – from his divine mission.
Oh, and before I forget…
… Fort Worth Star-Telegram did such a good job tracking down all his exaggerated achievements that they found out less than 1% of the ministry’s money is used for charity, all the while pledging to fight poverty and spread the gospel.
Greasy.
1% is a travesty if you ask me.
How Mike Murdock Spends His Money
Anyone who’s ever been to his sermons and preaches has heard of his shopping-for-a-house story.
A long time ago…
… the house’s asking price was known to be $534,000.
Even before the deal pushed through, “I put $534,000 cash in a briefcase,” says Mike in the most arrogant way.
He’s also mentioned plenty of times how he likes to pay for cars and houses through CASH.
Alrighty, Mr. Rich Guy!
According to paparazzi, the said briefcase is seen handcuffed to his wrists constantly.
Is it even morally acceptable for pastors, preachers, or any religious man to have that much?

Mike Murdock Jet
This Trump-loving preacher got the best out of his “seed-planting” business by becoming one of the few people to actually own a Jet.

Seriously?

- He has tons of financial scandals and false teachings for money.
- John Oliver once called him “that asshole with two planes.”
- “I ain’t seen a woman as good looking as a $100 dollar bill.” He’s basically saying he loves money more than women – and I officially don’t know how to feel about knowing that.
