Dan Bilzerian’s Career Winnings By Year
In some of Dan’s most recent interviews, he has claimed to be making around a whopping $50,000,000 – just from poker winnings!
Dan Bilzerian’s Business Ventures, Endorsements & Poker Skills
Bilzerian exposed himself to poker for the first time when he was still studying business and criminology at the University of Florida. It didn’t take too long for him to fall in love with the game.
However, years went by before he set foot into a real casino to deal with those cards.
In 2009, he took part in the World Series of Poker Main Event and finished in 180th place.
A year after that, Bluff magazine listed him as one of the funniest poker players on Twitter. In November of 2011, Bilzerian, together with Tobey Maguire and Gabe Kaplan, were sued by trustees for debt of honor wins they had been paying under no-contract poker games.
This is nothing short of crazy!
That same year, Bilzerian publicly defended Alex Rodriguez against allegations that the latter had unlawfully gambled, arguing he was there when the supposed gambling event had taken place. He insists that Rodriguez wasn’t there.
Seeing as Dan reportedly won $10.8 million from a single event in November of 2013, he fled to Mexico via a private jet the first chance he got.
Turns out a celebration in his hometown doesn’t round-off the winning experience happily for him.
2014 saw him raking in a staggering $50 millions of winnings alone – that’s just one year.
Woah! How can you beat that?
So, what’s the catch?
Well, as it turns out, he lost over 3.6 million in only a single session. Now that’s a massive stack of cold cash to lose in just one try! Yikes!
Whether or not he’s a poker game expert, the celebrity icon had the cash pile needed to take the swings involved.
In addition to his professional poker game career, he has also starred in several films, including Lone Survivor, The Other Woman, Olympus Has Fallen, The Equalizer, Extraction, Cat Run 2, and War Dogs.

Dan Bilzerian’s Investments
Ignite International Brands Ltd.
Bilzerian operates Ignite International Brands Ltd., a company that supplies (among other things) electronic cigarettes, CBD oils, water bottles, and vodka.
Ignite is a company based in Toronto, Canada. Not only that, it started trading under the BILZF ticker in January of 2019.
But here’s the kicker!
The company allegedly lost more than $50 million, mainly on publicity and office rental expenditures.
Dan Bilzerian’s Controversies & Litigation
DB vs. Film Producers of “Lone Survivor” (2014)
The professional poker player filed a lawsuit against the film Lone Survivor producers for a whopping $1.2 million in 2014.
What’s the problem?
Even though he paid $1 million for at least eight minutes of appearance and 80 words of dialogue to the film’s production team, his role was limited to less than a minute.
To make matters worse, he only had one line!
Okay, that sucks!
His lawsuit claimed $1.2 million (the initial loan sum) on top of a penalty of 20%.
In the end…
The case was dropped, with him earning $1.5 million due to the film’s commercial success.
DB vs. Vanessa Castano (2014)
Model Vanessa Castano then sued the famous Instagrammer for allegedly intentionally kicking her in the face during a fight at a South Beach nightclub in Miami, Florida.
The model claimed, “There were two girls standing next to me at the table that were fighting. People started getting shoved, and I tried to separate them. Then Dan pushed me off the banquette, and once I fell, he kicked me in the face.”
On the other hand, Dan stated that the model and another woman rushed to her female friend.
It turns out the model charged Bilzerian for her injuries. There were also reports that she demanded $1 million in settlement from him, invoking the probability of punitive damages if the suit was brought to court.
…in 2015, Bilzerian’s name was cleared after the police did a full investigation of the incident.
“They got the club’s [surveillance] video, which is much better and clearer than the handheld video that was posted online. And it shows that I didn’t kick anyone,” claimed Bilzerian.
DB vs. Pornstar Janice Griffith – 2014
In December of 2014, Bilzerian was involved in a legal issue with porn star Janice Griffith; as part of a photoshoot for Hustler magazine in April of 2014, he hurled her off from the roof of a house and into a pool.
As a result…
… the porn star suffered a broken foot. Her ankle hit the edge of the pool and eventually broke it.
Griffith demanded $85,000 for her injuries, which was declined by Bilzerian’s team.
But wait, there’s more!
The porn actress then filed a complaint against Hustler magazine and Bilzerian.
… Bilzerian’s team insists it was not his fault.
In January of 2015, Hustler’s lawyers agreed the magazine was not at fault for the injuries suffered by the porn star.
DB vs. LA Police Officers (2014)
Upon landing at the Los Angeles International Airport in December of 2014, Dan was arrested and charged with possessing improvised explosives.
Bilzerian was captured on a fugitive warrant from Nevada – as per the Los Angeles Police Department – and was detained at the LAPD Pacific Division.
“Bilzerian has been charged with violating a law making it a crime to possess an explosive or incendiary device with the intent to manufacture it,” according to LAPD.
On the day of his indictment, he was discharged from LAPD custody after the charges were dismissed. However, he was ordered to be indicted in Clark County, Nevada, in January of 2015.
DB vs. Curtis Heffernan – 2020
In July of 2020, the ex-president of Ignite International Brands Ltd., Curtis Heffernan, sued Bilzerian for unfair dismissal after being terminated for what he believed was pointing out Dan’s misuse of business funds for his costs.
As if that’s not enough…
…Heffernan sued the company, alleging he was fired in June after declining to accept the lavish expenses of his boss.
Heffernan stated that he called out Bilzerian for expenditures that included $40,000 for a rock-climbing wall, $15,000 for a pingpong table, and $130,340 for a photoshoot in the Bahamas.
He also claimed in the suit that Ignite asked him to falsify a loan as income from the government’s support program for coronavirus.
Oh, and one more thing!
According to the complaint, an Auditor’s Report in June noted expenses that were unusually high and seemingly personal, including €703,000 ($793,000) for a yacht lease, £102,000 ($128,000) for a two-night stay in London, and Instacart shipments of razors, garbage bags, and laundry detergent.
That’s quite a shopping spree you got there, eh, Dan?
Despite that, Ignite remained schtum.
