Investments: Faze Clan Net Worth

This esports organization is barely an Investor…

… it’s an all-important Investee.

Faze Clan unlocked its series A funding round right before 2018 ended.

And let me tell you something…

Professional basketball players Josh Hart and Meyers Leonard invested in Faze Clan as well as rappers DJ Paul and Ray J. The 3 founding partners of the marketing agency Cut + Sew also wanted their share of the game.

It’s been an offshoot spree since then.

For 2019, rapper Offset invested and became part of the organization as a new member.

Throughout the year, famous personalities joined the bandwagon.

Introducing the new recruits: Radio host Big boy; Skateboarder Nyjah Huston; Basketball players Jamal Murrey and Ben Simmons; footballer Gregory van der Wiel; Music Executives Sylvia Rhone, Guy Oseary, and Troy Carter and Musicians Swae Lee, Pitbull, Yo Gotti, and Disco Fries.

Lastly, we also have actor Chris O’Donnell who merged with Faze Clan.

Led by Entrepreneur Jimmy Lovine and the mobile e-commerce platform NETWRK, Faze Clan closed its series A round in December 2019.

Good luck came pouring in as Faze Clan secured a loan worth $22.7 million from Canadian Financial Company Canaccord Genuity.

Faze clan also announced its co-ownership of food supplement company CTRL on June 18, 2020.

FaZe France

With the emergence of Raphael “Zydar” Zydar, Kevin “RanbOw” and Elliot “Hyspe” the competitive sniping division Faze eSniping came to be led by Anil “WaRTeK” Brancaleoni on September 19, 2013.

The organization rebranded Faze eSniping to Faze France a year after RandOw left the team and Anthony “Toto” replaced him.

The players and members of the new Faze France weren’t satisfied with the plans at all so they left to create a new and better organization.

Red Reserve

Just a few months after Faze France, they announced the instituting of the branch org Red Reserve on December 5, 2014.

The team now uploads Call of Duty sniper montages on their YouTube Channel.

They were partners with Faze until June 2016 when they decided to explore other opportunities under their own flag.

Atlanta FaZe

It started with Atlanta Esports Ventures purchasing one of the five slots for the Call of Duty League.

AEV and Faze partnered up to form a team and in October of 2019, they formally announced the team was to be named Atlanta Faze.

FaZe Studios

Faze Clan and the founder of Sugar23 Michael Sugar formed the entertainment house Faze Studios. Their focus was on creating scripted television series and feature films.

Faze Clan Controversies & Litigation

Faze Clan vs. Ricciuto 2014

An out-cry for credit…

Joey “Ferox” Ricciuto, former FaZe graphics designer, released a controversial video stating “he felt used and not respected” by his client.

After a year the incident was aired in public on the 7th of May, Oliveira finally released a statement of refute saying “Ferox helped us with a lot of our early graphics design in our history. […] I always gave him my input on how I wanted the team to be branded.”

“Did he create the FaZe logo? No. I came up with the concept of it. He designed it.”

Faze Clan vs. Betting Allegations 2016

In for another pressing issue…

Published on July 16, 2016, narratives show that FaZa owners Nordan “Rain” Shat and Richard “Banks” Bengston owned the betting site, CSGOWild.

Adding fuel to the fire just two days after the incident, YouTube sensation “HonorTheCall” accused Shat and Bengston of knowing the outcome of the roll in advance.

The uploaded video sparked so much havoc online that CSGOWild’s owner Gagey released a statement on the same day saying:  “FaZe Clan, and any of its members do not and have never owned any part of Wild.”

He continued, “…we worked out a sponsorship deal. Banks, Rain, and a few other team members got paid in return for promotion. Not only did we stop working with the guys from FaZe over a month ago…”

I don’t know… maybe the guilt got him bad…

A year later, Bengston confessed to owning and registering CSGOWild in Antigua.

It was apparently to enable them to fund their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team.

They were making a minimum of $200k EVERY DAY!

While Bengston came clean, Shat denies it to this day….

Faze and Fraud 2015

The story goes like this…

January 26, 2015, Faze announced they’d be co-producing a video game called Starnet Eclipse with iCazual Entertainment.

On their youtube channel, Faze appealed to their fans to fund the game in exchange for exclusive content.

With the promise of releasing the game in June 2015, thousands of donations came pouring in for them.

Here’s the bad part: iCazual released a pre-alpha version instead.

iCazual moved the release date in 2016. It was a band-aid solution to the roaring crowd.

By then, still no game in sight.

“HonorTheCall” came to the rescue again as he released another video on his youtube channel calling out the game’s delay, high prices, promises, and scam!

As a response, iCazual immediately released a statement issuing refunds to the donors.

C’est la vie.

Faze vs. Faze 2019

This one’s from Faze’s professional player, Turner “Tfue” Tenney.

He turned against the brotherhood – for the organization allegedly took 80% of his sponsorship revenue and deprived him of business opportunities.

Tenney also blamed the members for being a “bad sport.”

They were said to be encouraging him to drink and gamble while still underage.

Of course, Faze denies all.

Faze presented a statement stating they have never collected any sort of amount from Tenney’s social media revenue, Tfue net worth,  or tournament winnings. They only collected 20% of his sponsorship revenue.

Surprisingly…

Tenny took back his gambling and drinking claim.

His lawyer restated that the two main reasons for the lawsuit are Tenney’s 6-month inhibition from live streaming after his contract expired and Faze operating without a license as a talent agency.

Tenny delivered another blow as he claimed Faze signed a minor and constantly lied about his age. It was 11 year old Patrick “H1ghSky1.”

Faze Clan Controversies

This led to Patrick being suspended from competing in the Fortnite World Cup 2019 and from multiple social media websites.

Not long after, Faze counter-attacked by suing Tenny for “divulging confidential information, publicly slandering the company, advocating for others to leave the company,…”

It took a while…

But both parties finally settled the squabble.

Suspension of Member for Racial Slur 2020

Professional Faze player Daniel “Dubs” Walsh used a racial slur during a live stream.

Faze suspended him indefinitely and he underwent sensitivity training.

The suspension ended on April 2, 2020.
