Born in Washington, D.C., on May 29, 1963, Nathaniel Stroman grew up with his aunt. They grew up poor in the southeast neighborhood.

Earthquake started from nothing. He even experienced nothing to eat.

When he was a kid, he was the class clown. These humble beginnings became his stepping stone for success.

He had no idea when he was a kid that he was meant for comedy as his career. During one of his statements, Earthquake said that no teacher told him to go into the performing industry. 

After graduating from high school, he entered the United States Air Force.

Entering the Air Force

Earthquake comedian joined the Air Force right after he graduated to avoid any threats of drugs, crime, or any negative impacts of the community surrounding him. 

That’s why he immediately enrolled in the United States Air Force.

“My mother argued with me, hollered at me, and I wasn’t getting a check, so how hard could basic training be?”, Earthquake explained to Matt Ehlers of the Raleigh News and Observer.

Eventually, Earthquake served the Military.

He spent his eleven years in the Air Force, staying on bases located in Florida, California, and the Japanese Islands of Okinawa.

He went up and became a Sergeant in the Air Force. Until Earthquake refused to join

In the Gulf War of 1991.

“I didn’t want to go over there and fight for oil,” he said.

As a matter of fact, the American actor also served the military to continue his education while contributing to the country. But, the Gulf War had an impact on his service.

With this, he was dishonorably discharged from the Air Force, of which Earthquake served for 11 years of his life.
