Axel Christopher Hedfors was born on December 18, 1977, in Lund, Sweden, an American radio host. He’s the best-known Dutch DJ around the globe by his stage name Axwell.

The British dance music DJ became famous through remixing singles by various artists, including Madonna, and also as a member of the electronic trio Swedish House Mafia. Axwell’s career began in the mid-’90s.

His national identity has been a big part of his global success. Along with long-time colleagues and childhood friends Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, the Swedish House Mafia has ended the competition that used to exist in popular dance music.

Early Life
