Stacy Ann-Marie Keibler was born to Patricia and Gary Keibler, on October 14, 1979, in Rosedale, Maryland.

Stacy Keibler began taking jazz, ballet, and tap dancing classes at the age of three. For her early education, she attended St. Clement Mary Hofbauer School.

Starting from a young age, she had been competing in beauty pageants, winning the Miss Maryland Pre-Teen, as well as the National Miss Pre-Teen Crown in 1990.

In 1999, Keibler entered a contest in search of a new Nitro Girl for the World Championship Wrestling. She beat the other 300 women who participated in the contest after getting the most votes on the online voting on WCW’s website. As the winner, she was awarded a spot on the Nitro Girls dance troupe and $10000 cash.

Using the stage name Skye, Keibler appeared every week with her dance routines on “Monday Nitro,” the flagship show of WCW, all the while going to school full-time and being a cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens.

By 2000, her role in the WCW had become bigger. Known for her extremely long, 42-inch legs, her signature ring entrance was slipping her legs over the second tier of ropes around the ring, then giving the viewers a peek of what she’s wearing underneath her short skirt. WCW was bought by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) the following year and with it Stacy Keibler’s contract. She then made her WWF debut on television, appearing on an episode of WWE “SmackDown!”. She would later become a part of various storylines.
