In 2011, the couple filmed an audition tape of the process of house flipping in Orange County, California, from start to finish. The audition tape of their episode was sent to Pie Town Productions without knowing the outcome. HGTV Producers also noticed the couple’s social media accounts, featuring the samples of their work.

In 2012, Tarek and Christina El Moussa signed a deal with HGTV, and their series began airing a year after, and “Flip or Flop” finally hit the small screen on the network. The couple became famous and garnered 92 episodes within their seven seasons from 2013-2017.

Due to their split, both individuals had their show. It was the year 2018 when it was announced that Christina El Moussa would be having her spinoff show called “Christina on the Coast”. As for Tarek, it was the year 2020 when he got his new show at HGTV, “Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa.”

As his career is going uphill, in 2013, one fan of the show, who happened to be a nurse, noticed a lump on Tarek’s neck while filming “Flip or Flop.”.” The fan even wrote a letter addressed to the program’s production company.
