Nadar founded HCL Technologies in 1976. After four years, HCL ventured and expanded into the worldwide market by launching Far East Computers in Singapore, which sells computer hardware.

Nadar decided to enter the American computer hardware market in 1989, but the initial efforts were ineffective due to American regulations.

However…

HCL HP Limited was formed in 1991 when the business collaborated with Hewlett Packard. This collaboration allowed them to increase their sales in the American market.

Nadar opted to break his company into five groups in 1998, with HCL Technologies as the global IT service provider, HCL Infosystems as the Indian IT hardware company leader, HCL Perot as the IT applications provider, HCL comnet as the network service provider, and NIIT as the education provider.
