Sebastian Carmine Ingrosso is a Swedish-descent DJ and record producer who formed the Swedish House Mafia along with friends Axwell and Steve Angello.

Other than that…

The Swedish House Mafia DJ is most recognized as a musician who is well-versed in international melodies and the power of the drumbeat.

But hold just a second; there’s more…

Among his achievements in the music industry are…

In 2012, he received a Grammy nomination for Best Electronic Album. In 2014, he and Axwell formed the successful electronic duet known as Axwell Λ Ingrosso.

Before we go any further, let’s have a look at…

…how one of the world’s wealthiest DJs and well-known performers ascended through the ladders to achieve his dream.

On April 21, 1983, the electronic dance music producer was born in Sweden. Sebastian Ingrosso was raised in Stockholm and has spent his entire life immersed in music. When he was in his teens, he started working in his father’s music studio.

Have you ever wondered how a DJ got his start in music?

From the age of 14, Sebastian might be seen in the studio creating music. Sebastian has been surrounded by music since he was born, thanks to his father’s profession as a musician.

Following that…

The Electronic musician began his professional music career in 1999, following his father’s footsteps, Vito Ingrosso.

Since 1999, when he released his first remix album…

Ingrosso has been creating and producing a continuous stream of original music and remixes for 15 years.

Years after that…

Sebastian Ingrosso established his record label, Refune Music, in 2003. Later in his career, Ingrosso primarily collaborated with fellow Swedish DJs Axwell, Steve Angello, and Eric Prydz called the Swedish House Mafia.

This is when things start to get interesting!

Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, and Axwell founded the Swedish House Mafia in late 2008, with Eric Prydz opting out since he is a control freak who cannot tolerate collaborations even with best friends.

Since that time…

Sebastian Ingrosso’s “Tomorrowland” debut was with the group, and he made it to number 10 on the DJ Mag poll, while the group debuted at number 23.

Isn’t it amazing?

And then there was 2011…

He became a global sensation who was selected in the Top 100 DJs list of DJ Magazine. He debuted at #26 on the list by DJ Mag Magazine, the second-highest debut ever as he came on to the dance scene.

Trivia:

He toured to sold-out arena crowds as part of his DJ group and took Grammy  Award nominations in 2012 and 2013.

But DJing isn’t the only thing I do…

Sebastian Ingrosso also runs the A&R department of Refune, a record label he founded. Many well-known dance music artists have debuted on the label, including AN21, Alesso, and Style of Eye.

As every storyline has an ending…

After announcing it in June of that year, Swedish House Mafia began their One Last Tour in November 2012. The group announced that the tour’s final stretch would be their last and break up after the festival’s conclusion at Ultra Music Festival Miami 2013.

Following the split…

Sebastian Ingrosso returned to his solo music with the tune “Reload,” which he renamed “Reload (Take My Hand)” after adding the vocals of longtime collaborator John Martin.

Sebastian Ingrosso teamed up with Axwell and debuted their new collective, Axwell Ingrosso, at the 2014 Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City, following their debut EP X4.

Their collaboration didn’t stop there…

In the early months of 2015, Sebastian Ingrosso released “On My Way” and “Can’t Hold Us Down,” his second and third singles as part of the Axwell Λ Ingrosso partnership, which became a successful electronic duo.

The duo released their fourth song, “Sun Is Shining,” in June. Sebastian Ingrosso’s (and Axwell’s) first number-one single since “Don’t You Worry Child” in Sweden.

On the last weekend in March of 2018…

Sebastian Ingrosso performed as  Axwell Λ Ingrosso at Ultra Miami 2018. Sebastian Ingrosso returned with Swedish House Mafia at the same festival after a five-year sabbatical to play as the band.

From that point forward…

Axwell Ingrosso revealed in August 2018 that he and his band would be taking a break to focus on the Swedish House Mafia reunion and 2019 tour.

As to his personal life…

Sebastian Ingrosso married Kinnda, a singer and composer, in 2011. Melina Ingrosso and Miranda Ingrosso are their two daughters.

To conclude…

After spending more than a decade creating some of dance music’s most captivating tunes and founding his record label, Refune, Sebastian Ingrosso is now one of the world’s wealthiest DJs.

Sebastian Ingrosso’s achievements as a DJ are no less impressive than his achievements as a producer. This DJ has been rocking festivals worldwide since his debut performance in a pizza restaurant in his own country. In 2013, he performed gigs in Australia and London that were completely sold out in under an hour.

So, after spending over a decade creating some of dance music’s most addicting melodies and founding his record label, Refune, Ingrosso is now one of the world’s wealthiest DJs.
