FaZe Rug Height and Age: 5 ft 7 in, 29, and Now Ex-FaZe
FaZe Rug is 5 ft 7 in (170 cm) tall and 29 years old, born Brian Rafat Awadis on 19 November 1996 in San Diego.
He is also, as of December 2025, no longer in FaZe Clan.
Height, with the usual caveat
Listings put him at 5 ft 7 in, though a minority say 5 ft 6 in. The one-inch disagreement tells you these numbers come from estimation rather than measurement.
Camera work makes this harder than it looks. Vlog footage is shot at arm’s length on a wide lens, which flattens height cues entirely. There is no reliable way to eyeball it from his own content.
No credible weight figure exists. Any number you find was invented.
Age and the timeline
He turned 29 in November 2025.
He started posting in 2012, aged 15 or 16, which means he has now spent nearly half his life running the channel. That is unusual even among creators of his generation, most of whom started in their twenties.
The FaZe exit
On 27 December 2025 he announced he was leaving FaZe Clan after 13 years as a member and co-owner.
Think about what that means for a brand. His channel name, his audience’s shorthand for him, and his entire public identity carry the org’s name. Leaving does not remove it from the thing he is known as.
Very few creators have unwound an association that deeply embedded. The ones who tried usually rebranded first and lost reach doing it.
Where the audience actually came from
Around 28.9 million subscribers, and almost none of it from competitive play.
That is the thing people get wrong about him. FaZe Clan’s reputation was built on Call of Duty trickshotting and esports rosters. Rug’s channel is vlogs, challenges and pranks, closer to traditional lifestyle YouTube than to gaming.
He was the org’s largest personal audience while being the least representative of what the org was known for.
What FaZe’s own SEC filings show
FaZe Holdings went public in 2022, which means the organisation’s finances stopped being a matter of speculation and started being a matter of public record. Its 2022 Form 10-K is filed with the SEC and anyone can read it.
Three things in it are worth knowing.
The roster. FaZe reported “over 118 core personalities across content creation, Esports and celebrity affiliates” as of 31 December 2022.
The concentration. This is the striking one, quoted from the filing:
For the year ended December 31, 2022, one content creator accounted for approximately 18% of our total revenue. For the year ended December 31, 2021, the same content creator accounted for approximately 22% of our total revenue.
Total 2022 revenue was $70.0 million, up 32.5% from $52.9 million. So a single unnamed creator was generating something in the region of $12.6 million of it.
The filing does not name that creator, and I am not going to assert it was Rug. What can be said is that he held the largest personal audience of the 118, and that he is named elsewhere in the same document, in a passage describing a G Fuel deal made directly with him alongside FaZe’s broader brand agreement.
The finances. FaZe posted a net loss of $168.5 million for 2022, of which $115.3 million was a one-off loss on debt extinguishment tied to going public. The company had anticipated receiving at least $218 million from the SPAC combination and received materially less. The filing carries going-concern language.
That is the organisation he spent 13 years with, and the state it was in as he approached the exit.
What I think
The height question is filler. The interesting number is 18%.
A publicly listed company disclosed to the SEC that one creator out of 118 was carrying almost a fifth of its revenue. That is a concentration risk serious enough to appear in the filing, and it tells you the economics of these organisations are not what the roster pages suggest.
He joined a gaming org as a teenager, built an audience that had little to do with gaming, became a co-owner, and walked away from the name at 29 with the audience intact.
Whether the brand survives the separation is the real open question, and no body-stats page is going to answer it.
