Music Career

After graduating from Windsor Academy in Macon, Georgia, Jason declined a college scholarship that would have made his dream of playing for Major League Baseball. Instead, he chose music as his career path by writing and recording original songs.

In 1998, Jason performed in the Atlanta nightclub The Buckboard.

After signing a contract with producer Michael Knox for Warner-Chappell, Jason moved his 6’2” to Nashville on November 1, 1998, at the age of 21.

His first two contracts were subsequently dropped. He contemplated going back to Macon, GA, until he was offered a deal from Broken Bow Records in Nashville.

First Album – Jason Aldean

His self-titled debut album was released on July 26, 2005, with its carrier single “Hicktown.” This album produced his first number one hit with “Why,” The song “Amarillo Sky“ earned Aldean two nominations at the 2006 ACM Awards.

The self-titled debut album: Jason Aldean reached number 10 on the US Billboard Hot Country charts. His debut album was certified platinum by the RIAA, selling more than one million copies in the US in 2007, and certified platinum by Music Canada.

Jason’s second studio album Relentless was released on May 29, 2007, via Broken Bow Records. The album debuted at number one on the Top Country Albums chart. The album sold 98,000 copies in its first week.

Third Album: Wide Open

Jason Aldine Williams released his third studio album Wide Open under Broken Bow Records on April 7, 2009.

This third album produced three singles (She’s Country, Big Green Tractor, and The Truth)  that reached number one on the hot country charts and the Billboard country singles chart.

The single “She’s Country” hit number one in May 2009, followed by the releases of “Big Green Tractor” that topped the chart in September 2009 and “The Truth,” which also topped the chart in February 2010.

The second single was a collaboration with Kelly Clarkson with the title “Don’t You Wanna Stay.” It became Aldean’s fifth number-one hit by March 2011.

“Dirt Road Anthem“ is his third single from the album, and it has a country rap theme, and was originally recorded by Brantley Gilbert and Colt Ford.

The album was certified double platinum in just ten months after its release.

My Kinda Party was certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA on January 31, 2017, to sell more than 4 million units platinum by Music Canada. This album is the greatest contributor to Jason’s net worth.

The Fifth Album: Night Train

Aldean released his fifth album, Night Train, on October 16, 2012.

On its first week of release, the album sold 409,303 copies, and in December 2012, the album was certified platinum by the RIAA.

The singles Take a Little Ride, The Only Way I Know, 1994, Night Train, and When She Says Baby all peaked at number 1 on the Hot Country Charts and the Country Airplay chart.
