Francesco Stephen Castelluccio, known popularly as Frankie Valli, is an Italian-American singer and actor. He is one of the most famous and successful singers of his generation.

Together with his band and as a solo artist, Frankie has influenced many other great recording artists. A lot of artists made a rendition of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” the song that made his name popular as a solo artist and made it to the second spot in charts in 1967.

Frank Sinatra is the one who inspired Frankie to take up a singing career, and “Texas Jean Valli,” a well-known hillbilly-singer in the 50s, one of his early favorites, is the one whom he adopted his stage name.

Frankie started his musical career when the group “Variety Trio,” including Tommy DeVito, Nickie DeVito, and Nick Macioci, heard Valli sing and offered him a guest spot,

The trio disbanded in late 1952, and that’s where Frankie’s first band was created. He and Tommy DeVito became a part of a house band at The Strand in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and had his first single “My Mother’s Eyes,” a cover of the 1929 George Jessel song from “Lucky Boy.”

In 1953, Valli and Tommy DeVito left the house band and formed “The Variatones,” which was later renamed “The Four Lovers.”

Valli’s bandmates have come and gone until it was finalized in 1960 and became “Four Seasons,” with Frankie Valli as the lead singer, Tommy DeVito on lead guitar and baritone vocals, Nick Massi on electric bass and vocals, and Bob Gaudio on keyboards and tenor vocals.

They released a lot of songs, including those that are being mentioned earlier. They were recognized as one of the best-selling musical groups of all time, having sold an estimated 100 million records worldwide.
