In 1970, Andre had his Japanese debut for International Wrestling Enterprise. In 1974, he was the highest-paid wrestler with an annual salary of $400,000.

Andre hasn’t lost a single match since 1971, but Hulk Hogan defeated him at Wrestlemania III.
