When Elton and his partner David Furnish arrived at Hammersmith Palais in London, he decided to dress up and own the day in a silver-and-white fur-encrusted outfit.
He wore a three-foot-tall wig topped with a shocker of a tiny Spanish warship and artillery while dressed as King Louis XIV. The epic event is remembered as the last lavish celebration in his honor.

Alessandro is a longtime Elton John enthusiast and he even included tributes to Elton’s on-stage costumes in his spring-summer 2018 collection.

Elton John is also a fan, admitting that since Gianni died in 1997, he has never worn a designer “en masse” like this.
Elton’s aesthetic is well aligned with Alessandro’s unique vision. A handmade floral brocade jacket is one of the tour’s highlight elements.
