Eddie Hall, also known as Edward Stephan Hall, was born on January 15, 1988. He is primarily famous for being a professional strongman. He has won several competitions such as World’s Strongest Man Competition 2017, UK’s Strongest Man, Europe’s Strongest Man, and England’s Strongest Man.

It gets better…

In 2016, he made a world record for pulling 500 kilograms under strongman rules. Eddie started his career as a successful swimmer when he was a child. Later on, he trained and competed as a bodybuilder, where his journey began.

Amazingly…

In 2011, UK title meant he won at a competition in Belfast and made a new national record in “Viking Hold,” with Ken Nowicki in 2nd and Rich Smith in 3rd, also in which he was hanging on to 20 kg (44lbs) axes in each hand at full stretch for a whole one minute and 18 seconds.

Moving on…

After winning the UK title, Hall became the first choice and was asked to participate in several competitions. In 2010, at the England Championships, Eddie won by half a point at his first attempt. Hall placed fourth in his first taste of international competition.

His fellow Staffordshire competitor, Dave Meer, had to drop out of the England Championships organized by Elite Strongman because of injury.

Strongman Competition

In 2012,  After training as a body-builder, he entered the strongman circuit. Hall found himself in World’s Strongest Man competition but finished in a respectable eighth place, and unfortunately, he failed to qualify for Europe’s Strongest Man.

Whereas, in the same year, he got 4th position In the Giants Live event. And that was his beginning to set world records.  Later, in April 2012, Hall was invited to compete at Europe’s Strongest Man, another Giants Live event.

Now…

World’s Strongest Man winner Eddie Hall shares his intense eating and training regime by Guinness World Records. Eddie states, “I’ve broken world records – I remain the only person ever to deadlift half a tonne.”

In July 2016, among ten finalists, Eddie Hall making his top-rated deadlift world record.

Now let me tell you…

He lifted a weight of 500 kg (1102lb) at the competition of the “World Deadlift Championships.” It turned out that he set the world record by doing this, whereas the previous history of lifting 465 kg was also made by him earlier that day.  Now, the bad part was when Eddie Hall passed out at the end.

No wonder he has been Britain’s Strongest Man winner for five consecutive years, such as 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Hall puts down 10,000 calories a day in a bid to compete in the World’s Strongest Man competition.

Next, we have Axle Press, a type of Olympic lift, and the strongman has to lift the axle from the floor to overhead.

Eddie Hall made another world record by lifting 216 kg of the axle.

In March 2016, the strongman – Eddie Hall achieved another new world record for Elephant Bar deadlift.

Titanic British strongman Eddie Hall conquered the ultimate big-rock lift at the Arnold Classic on Sunday, and He lifted a 465 kg weight in Arnold Strongman Classic.

#4. Log Lift

Eddie Hall was one of the competitors in the Strongman Champions League, competing alongside other strongmen, and Eddie was the winner. Eddie made a world record by lifting a Log Lift of 213 kilograms (470 lb).

Another one of the world records by Eddie Hall included Squats. It’s an exercise in which the trainee has to lower his hips from the standing position and then stand back up, holding a weight.

Surprisingly…

Eddie held a weight of 405 kilograms and did such raw squats. Also, hall competed for eight reps of 345 kilograms on the foot bar and six repetitions of 360 kilograms on the safety bar.

Next in line, we have a bench press, considered the heaviest deadlift, in which the trainee presses the weight upwards while lying down.

Let me tell you…

Eddie Hall made a Bench press holding a weight of 300 kilograms. They were followed by six reps of 265 kgs and ten repetitions of 225 kgs. Insane, right?
