Unbeknown to many – it was Soulja Boy and his friends who choreographed the dance moves that lead to the “Crank That” dance craze in 2007.
The steps were inspired by former dance crazes created by well known Atlanta-based rappers.

Soulja Boy (DeAndre Cortez Way) was only 17 years old when his debut single, “Crank That” topped the Billboard Hot 100, giving him the title of the youngest artist to ever co-write, produce, and perform a chart-topping single.
